This month is a month of mixed emotions for me. Two years ago this month, I lost a baby girl at birth. It was a complication-free pregnancy the whole way through. What was supposed to be a joyous time filled with family and new beginnings ended up being one of the worst months of my life. Sorry for the TMI. I don’t mean to rain on your festive parade, but I wanted to give you some insight as to why this month’s theme is work-life balance.

Work-Life Balance

When creating a brand for ourselves we often give 120% to our clients in hopes they will appreciate all that we do for them—all that we sacrifice. Oftentimes when we allow this, boundaries get pushed and feelings of animosity start to bubble up. That feeling of being taken advantage of starts to take place and what was once excitement for their wedding now becomes resentment. I tell you this from personal experience. Make sure to set clear boundaries early on in your business relationships with a good contract and try to make family a #1 priority when it really counts. We have some fun activities this month, and I hope you take the opportunity to participate so you can better your business.

??☕P.S. Just “liking” is not participating. Your opinion matters!!!! Challenge yourself to participate in at least one activity this month.✔??

Goals

??✨Goals 12/2. Family is our focus this month. So create a goal in which the money you make from your planning business goes toward a family activity. For example, maybe you want to take your family to Disneyland. How much will you need to make to make this goal a reality?

Interview

✨??Exit Interview with Mandy Price 12/6. As you know, our Facebook Group has a two-year business limitation. We do this because as your business grows, your business needs become different. Our group is designed for a very specific purpose, and we don’t want to get derailed from that track. Unfortunately, Mandy’s time has come. She has been an active member, contributing opinions and ideas, so I have asked her to do an exit interview with me. Learn from her and watch the interview.

Social Learning Unit

??✔Work-Life Balance Unit 12/3–12/10. As stated above, our focus this month is work-life balance. I know it may not seem like an urgent task to grasp right now, but I could argue that habits are made now as you hustle to get your business off the ground. Be a part of the conversation as we learn how to set boundaries and make time for family.

Cookie Exchange

???Cookie Exchange 12/10. Let’s make new friends and share our favorite Pinterest Christmas Cookie recipes!

Contest

?⛄❄Bridalpreneur Contest 12/17–12/27. Who will be the #bridalpreneur this month?!! I have a fun Christmas challenge that I’ll be releasing on the 17th, and you will have until the 27th to get your numbers in. The winner will receive bragging rights and forever be in our #bridalpreneur highlights. One hint: do as many “Holiday” things as humanly possible.

Website Audit

???Website Audit 12/19. I will be doing a free website audit for any team member who has recently launched their website. This is a valuable tool to see how you can improve your site and to make it more bride-friendly.
