Hello February! Community, let me just say this: if you ever get a chance to go to the Special Event conference, please do. It was a great experience, and I’m so grateful to have a supportive husband who allowed me to leave the home front for five whole days so I could pursue my passion. It’s been a while since I’ve gone to a wedding-specific conference. I try to mix it up by alternating a general business conference one year and then a wedding-specific one the next. This way I feel like I’m being exposed to different ways of thinking. The #EST was well worth the investment; I learned so much from the conference, but I also thought it was lacking in certain educational areas. So, when the conference ended, I realized a few things. It has made me want to refocus my attention on finishing my courses.
