If you’re planning to market to destination brides, you need to put yourself in a bride’s shoes. What types of things will she struggle with, and how can you help fix those problems? Having worked in many different destination markets, I am familiar with many of the challenges of planning a destination wedding. Planning a destination wedding for a bride is a lot like being in a long-distance relationship. Effective communication is key for a joyful, sustained partnership. So, if you were in a long-distance relationship, how would you communicate? By email? Or by video chat? Video chat, for sure! This is why I’m a huge fan of Zoom.

Communication with Destination Brides

What Is Zoom?

Zoom is a video communication platform that is easy to use both on your PC and your phone. The app works for Android phones and iPhones, making it almost headache free and a no-brainer when working with a destination bride. Zoom is a subscription-based platform that costs about $150 a year. I know that sounds like a lot, but I believe you’ll build a strong reputation as a destination wedding planner with this tool. In a recent peer stratification study, Zoom had the highest overall customer rating at 4.69/5.

Zoom has helped my business a lot. One thing I realized is that, I can book over the phone, but being able to video chat, is that much better. The bride is able to see my face and really connect with me.  I have booked 7 out of the 8 brides I received this way! -Jessica, Beautifully Divine Events LLC

Booking a Destination Bride

True story, I once lost a destination bride to my competitor because I couldn’t get Skype to work. I knew I lost the client way before I even got the rejection email a few days after our initial call. Nothing went right with that call. We had technical difficulties from the start, and they continued throughout the call. I’m sure the bride could sense my frustration, and let’s face it, my sales pitch was blown as a result. Take it from me, a reliable video chat platform is invaluable!

Create Better Trust and Engagement

Connecting with a long-distance bride using the traditional phone method can be difficult. So it’s no wonder that 91% of Zoom users said they experienced greater engagement with video, leading to better understanding through nonverbal communication. This will help create a top-notch client experience for your bride.

Make Wedding Magic

When everyone is on the same page, wedding magic happens! It’s the best feeling in the whole wide world. Having a bride believe in you and in what you’re doing will create a lasting effect on your business. And this will equal more destination wedding business in the long run! Become an effective destination wedding consultant with a video communication platform that works for you.
