Best Wedding Planner Instagram Tips You Need to Know with Bianca Trevino

All right, I will be the first to admit that Instagram is not my love language. When it first came out (am I dating myself?), I loved it! It was so much fun posting pictures and finding clever hashtags. But somewhere along the way, it started to feel like a chore. I found myself consumed with trying to stay on top of the ever-changing algorithm. I started to feel exhausted by it.

Best Wedding Planner Instagram Tips

With a growing family and a growing business, I soon gravitated towards Pinterest because it got me results without so much work. But even though I might not get excited about Instagram like some people, I do see the value it holds for a lot of newer wedding planners. That’s why I asked Bianca from WedStrategy to join us for a Live Chat. She is the queen of Instagram! Her tips in this video are profound. They are also super easy to implement as you watch this video.

A Little about Bianca

Don’t have time to watch it, download and listen to it while driving.

Concepts to Engage On

Sometimes after the show has ended, the guest and I will have an expanded conversation about some of the nuggets they shared. Or sometimes we only touch on a subject I wish we would have discussed just a little bit more. Or the topics we talked about inspired other thoughts I want you to know more about. Either way, below you’ll find some gems I would like you to chew on.

Types of wedding planner Instagram photos

You should be aware that pretty, professional pictures will get more interest than poorly lit photos taken with your phone. There are many wonderful stock photo companies out there that level up your photo game with ease so you can put your best foot forward on Instagram. But if that’s not a reasonable investment to you right now, you have other options as well. Practice your camera photography skills and start using a fun filter. I personally love Lightroom. I suggest you find a preset on Etsy that goes with your brand, buy it, and then upload it to the Lightroom phone app for a consistent feel. As a wedding professional, your audience wants to see clean, sharp images that evoke emotion.

What should I put on my wedding business Instagram?

Anything and everything related to wedding planning is fair game. Your main focus is to post pictures that will attract your ideal couples. Ask yourself, what does your ideal client want to see? Is she obsessed with a certain style of wedding dress? How about cakes? Does she have a soft spot for flower girls? If so, post those types of pictures. Killer reviews and fun quotes can also be a fun way to break up the picture monotony. Don’t be afraid to take a super long review and break it up into three different posts. Nobody’s gonna notice. 😉

How do you attract brides on Instagram?

Understanding your ideal client and your branding design will help you to better market your wedding planner business. It’s okay if you don’t know exactly who you’re targeting right this minute. Chances are if you’re a new wedding planner business, you’ll figure this out as your business evolves and your personal life changes. The more weddings you do, the more you’ll get to know the types of styles you love and the type of clients you love to work with. But this isn’t an excuse to not try to figure something out right now. The one thing that wears me out the most is marketing! Can I get an amen?! So why make it hard for yourself? Narrow your ideal client down and only post things your ideal client would love to see. This will help you feel less overwhelmed and less blank-minded when planning out your posts.
